The relief materials include Blankets, Mats, Bags of rice, Bags garri and grounded groundnut cake (Kuli-Kuli). During the visit, the MTDI team were received by Alhaji Muhammad jabbi Harande na 2, the Hon Chairman of Dange-Shuni LGA and over a hundred community members including those affected by the flood.
The Executive Chairman of Dange-Shuni LGA in person of Hon. Mode Dantasallah, welcome the MTDI team and show his appreciation and gratitude towards the team for identifying with the victims.
In his welcome address, the Honorable Chairman thanked Her Excellency Hajia Mariya Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Uwar Marayu) for the gesture and encourage others to follow suit.
In her speech, Hajiya Uwani Umar extend the condolence message of Her Excellency, Hajiya Mariya Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Uwar Marayu). She also plead with the flood victims to take what happened to them as the will of Allah. Her Excellency Hajiya Mariya Aminu Waziri Tambuwal used the medium to call upon the Muslim Ummah to assist the victims in anyway possible.
The District Head of Shuni, Alhaji Muhammad Jabbi Harande 2 also expressed his joy and appreciation towards this grand gesture of Her Excellency Hajiya Mariya Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Uwar Marayu). He stated that she is an example of the good people they've been waiting for to come forward and assist the victims. That philanthropist and other influencing individuals especially politicians are expected to come forward and assist in any way possible.
The MTDI team was led by Hajiya Uwani Umar accompanied by Nafisa Abubakar Zaki (Deputy Executive Director & Director of Events of MTDI), Hajiya Halima Liman, Hajiya Balkisu Bashir Garba, Hajiya Kulu Umar and Hussaina Iya, APC Zonal Coordinators, Deputy Women Leader, to mention a few.
The MTDI team also visited some of the affected residences of the flood victims to condole them and also offer prayers.
